About Mrs. Wilson

I am so excited to be a veteran Grand Ridge Grizzly!  In the past, I have volunteered both on PTSA Boards and Committees, and in my sons’ classrooms. I returned to the classroom nine years ago at Discovery Elementary and have worked as a Reading Specialist, Second Grade and now first grade teacher. Teaching is my passion and I am so thankful to have it is a part of my life.

My family consists of my husband Greg and four sons ages 26-18. My two oldest boys graduated from Skyline High School and have since both graduated from college.  The oldest, Jon, was married last fall and lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Jen.   Marc lives in Walnut Creek, California, working in pharmaceutical sales.   The two youngest, Dan and Tim are a junior (WWU) and freshman (UW) in college; which means Greg and I are ‘empty nesters’ this fall. 

In my free time I enjoy gardening, reading, antique hunting and spending time with my family. I am also an avid sports fan, thanks to my sons and their interests. Baseball is my all time favorite sport!

Returning to the teaching profession has been a wonderful experience. 

I feel privileged to spend each day with my students, your children!
